Included are four examples of the KS3 History project homeworks we use:

Year 7: Normans & Medieval England
Year 7: Tudors & Stuarts
Year 8: British Empire & First World War
Year 8: Suffragettes & the Holocaust

These are termly project homeworks based on the learning taking place that term. Students are given the homework at the beginning of the term and have around 12 weeks to complete it. The tasks increase in challenge and difficulty, but students only need to choose one project to complete.

They are really easy to adapt as they are created on PowerPoint. I ove using these because they give students the opportunity to be creative and take ownership of their learning. Over the years, we have had students create shields, tanks, models of the Western Front, diary entries, speeches, and even their own Horrible Histories-style sketches, which they have written and performed! And even better, all of these things make a great display!

The aim is to give students some freedom, encourage creativity and, most importantly, help them fall in love with History!

Enjoy!
