This is a complete lesson on convection that I prepared for a Y9 class.

Starter activity to think about types of heat transfer occurring in a heated saucepan. A recap of conduction from a previous lesson is followed by an introduction to convection in fluids. The example of a radiator is explained followed by a lava lamp demonstration
(I had to buy my own!) and a video of potassium permanganate in a beaker. As a class they are asked to think about what is happening in a hot air balloon. A worksheet (which can be differentiated with key words easily) is used to cement learning.

Includes a PowerPoint, Lesson Plan, and Worksheet.
