Lesson plan for teaching the Slave Trade

I created this lesson plan for teaching KS2 children about the Slave Trade for the Teach PrimaryJuly 2021 magazine. If you’re planning to teach your children about the Slave Trade, (with connections to #blacklivesmatter) you’ll find a lot of information and pointers in this plan, which was based on the research I did for a children’s novel on the subject -Slaves for the Isabella. (If you’d rather not do the diary task, you could substitute a non-chronological report.) I hope you find it useful.
