A ten lesson scheme to help embed understanding of Literary Criticism and it’s background - it is by no means comprehensive for MA but it is designed for the beginnign of Y12 when students have very little grasp of any theory at all.
works with the Yellow Wallpaper in class and an anthology of short stories at home, all of these were downloaded as © free resources. You will also need to acquire a selection of toddler books, one between two for the class (that will become clear in lesson 9!).
Introduces: Feminism, Marxism, Structuralism, Queer Theory, Psychoanalytical Criticism.
