Huge number of posters to help to produce some great maths displays - in particular focused on real life maths, maths in the news and careers using maths. I’ve also posted a lot of content on ibmathsresources - so if you like all this, check that out as well!

#### Treasure Hunt Loci Constructions!

This works really well as an activity to enliven locus/loci constructions for year 10/11s. More great lesson ideas at www.ibmathsresources.com. Students need to be able to find equidistance between lines and angles using compasses. Each completed clue will give a coordinate point - and so a number. They write their completed 7 digit number in the box to win the treasure! ANSWER 1) D5 2) G18 3) K16 4) J8 5) P8. So 7 digit number = 5181688. Measure from the base of all trees. Measure from the top of mountains. 1cm=1m. If the line intersect crosses 2 boxes choose the largest.

#### Mathematics Jeopardy Game KS3 Shape Level 5 6

Maths Jeopardy game for KS3 level 5/6 Shape and space. Check out www.ibmathsresources.com for loads of dingbats to customise the challenge section. Topics include areas of various shapes (triangles, circles, compound shapes), volumes of simple shapes, unit conversions. Works well as an end of unit revision lesson - with students arranged into small groups, given whiteboards and then competing against each other! The final 'challenge' section includes more fun questions - maths dingbats and memory problems etc.

#### MATHS KS3 EXPLORING MATHS TRACKER (STAFF TRAINING +ALYSIS TOOLS and closing the Gap analysis tools)

This tracker is set up for for six tiers of work in the EXPLORING MATHS SoW by Anita Straker.

The tracker will allow you to enter 4 modules per tier well as two key assessment points. The tracker will work out the average for the tier covered. It will also work out the grade achieved in the furthest tier covered.

If the spread sheet is locked the password is: faketan

It will also do the following:

- allow you to analyse each unit separately and for the pupil performance overall
- if you enter the end of year performance from last academic year it will show the progress that the pupils have made.
- pivot tables will allow you to analyse all sub groups of pupils using RaiseOnline style tracking grids

Please go to Data- refresh to refresh the Pivot tables.
Included also is a prompt sheet for teachers to use. Teachers can select from the drop down menu each sub-category of child in the cohort and then the Pivot table will automatically populate for that group of pupils.
