Award-winning apprentice Michael Airey, 21, from Gateshead, has a string of qualifications to his name, along with some of the most prestigious cars at his fingertips.
Winner of the Apprentice of the Year category at the regional final of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2010, Michael is employed by Tanfield Body Repair in Gateshead.
Although, by his own admission, he didn't fair too well in his GCSEs, Michael knew that to pursue his ideal career he would need to develop his skills further.
