Mindful Nature Pedagogy “Open Ended Sentences” are a beautiful impulse resource to facilitate conversations about Climate Change, Eco Anxiety and related topics.

Children can find it difficult to find the right words or pinpoint how they are affected emotionally. They are living in a world of overwhelm and depending on their age find it hard to understand terms like Climate Change, Species Extinction, Climate Collapse etc. Being honest, most of us adults struggle with the global challenges so we can only imagine how confusing and frightening it must be for our children.

Open ended sentences guide children to find the right words, express their thoughts and worries and work out strategies about “where to go from here.” We can help them to become empowered and actively involved in initiating positive change.

Suitable for age groups 7 and up

Well presented reflective worksheets that could be carried out by middle to older primary school students . Promoting gratitude and an individual responsibility to how we can care for the environment and make a change . Beautiful presentation !

Some great open ended sentences to encourage children to discuss the environment and empower them to see that they can be involved in change. Would be very suitable for group activities/discussion in upper primary school classes
