Ten Year 6 KS2 mini SATs papers (11 to 20): questions each on maths, SPaG, reading and spelling, with answers. One sheet a day. Free PDF.

This 30-page A4 PDF contains mini SATs papers 11 to 20, with all ten answer pages at the back. A mini SATs paper is a cut-down practice test: a few questions from each of the Year 6 SATs papers on one double-sided sheet. Because it takes about 20 minutes, it fits into a normal school day, and regular short practice builds stamina and confidence without the fatigue of a full past paper.

Each paper is one double-sided A4 sheet. Side 1 has five maths questions, one each on arithmetic, number, fractions, measures, and geometry or statistics, every one with a squared working area and diagrams where needed, followed by five grammar, punctuation and spelling questions in the formats children meet in the SATs: circling or underlining words, ticking the correct answer, adding punctuation and completing tick-box grids. Side 2 has a short reading text with five questions (retrieval, inference, vocabulary and a true-or-false table) and five spellings, each a missing word in a sentence for an adult to read aloud.

Reading texts in this set (3 non-fiction texts, 4 stories and 3 poems): Robots (non-fiction); The Flooded Village (fiction); The Invisible Hand (poetry); The Last Time (poetry); The Mystery Smell (fiction); The Champion (fiction); The Cartographer (fiction); Volcano (poetry); Life Cycles (non-fiction); The Solar System (non-fiction).

A taste of paper 11. Arithmetic: Work out 175 ÷ 4 using short division. Give your answer as a decimal (answer 43.75). Grammar: Circle the adjective in the sentence below: The views over the countryside were glorious. Spellings: navigation, shield, grate, bottom, weightless.

How it matches the SATs: the maths questions mirror the arithmetic and reasoning papers, the grammar questions use the same answer formats as the grammar, punctuation and spelling paper, the spellings follow the dictation style of the spelling test, and the reading questions cover the skills tested in the reading paper.

Ideas for use: set one paper each morning, as homework, or as a warm-up before an intervention group. Mark it the same day so misconceptions are fixed while they are fresh, and keep the scores out of 20 to see progress across the set.

The answer pages are at the back, one per paper. They give every answer, short working for the maths, the punctuation to add shown in bold, and the spelling words with their sentences, so an adult can read each word, the sentence, then the word again, as in the SATs spelling test.

This is set 2 of 10 in a series of 100 mini SATs papers. No question, reading
