Two PowerPoint presentations, a creative learning web and a selection of cross curricular worksheets based on “Not Now, Bernard” by David McKee.

The first PowerPoint presentation asks the children a series of different questions based on the reading comprehension skills of vocabulary, interpretation, prediction, explanation, retrieval and sequencing. There is a comprehension sheet which can be given to the children if written work is appropriate, or you may want to choose one of the more creative and informal ideas listed on the Creative Learning Web. There are also worksheets to support the development of skills in different areas of the curriculum
The second PowerPoint allows children to learn how to use a range of KS1 punctuation such as full stops, capital letters, exclamation marks and question marks.
