This is a composition activity centred around the pentatonic scale. Introducing drone, ostinati accompaniment, question and answer melodic phrasing, balanced phrases and rondo form. Each section should contrast experimenting with the elements of music.
Worked well for me as a whole class activity and then in pairs - marked against AQA criteria as a practice.
