An optional extension to the plants topic, to get students thinking more about how plants feed themselves, and to make a brief link to ecology and interdependence with the idea of aphids feeding on plants and ants 'farming' aphids. Consists of a series of pictures related to plant veins, aphids and the ants that farm them. There are notes for the teacher under each slide. Afterwards you could show one of many videos available on ants farming aphids.
