Fantasy Island 1 introduces the planning stage of a holiday brochure. Students imagine an island, consider how to present it and generate descriptive words and phrases. Teachers’ notes explain how to introduce and extend the activity.

The sample also contains teachers’ notes for Fantasy Island 2, but its student worksheet and the third stage are not included. This is an opening extract, not the complete three-stage writing project. The introduction, contents, general guidelines and historical English curriculum reference pages are included.
