Portchester Castle Risk Assessment

This is a risk assessment for a school visit to Portchester Castle, just outside Portsmouth. It is a good place for a school visit as the castle has a history dating back to Roman times. A large proportion of the castle is in ruins so visitors spend a lot of time outdoors. I took a group of KS3 students with SEN but the risk assessment could be adapted for different school groups. This risk assessment should be used as a guide and starting point for you to develop if you are considering taking a school trip to Portchester Castle so teachers will need to adapt it to suit their individual student requirements.
