A set of three fully formatted Word documents for primary science subject leaders, covering the three areas most relevant to accountability and monitoring: self-evaluation, action planning, and governor reporting.

The documents work as a connected set. The audit generates the evidence. The action plan organises the response. The governor report communicates it.

What is included

Subject Leader Audit Tool
Seven sections covering curriculum intent and design, curriculum implementation, teacher confidence, resources, assessment, subject leadership, and wider engagement. Three-descriptor rating scales (Secure / Developing / Not yet in place) with evidence rows, a summary scoring table, and a built-in action panel.

Action Planning Template
Organised by audit section so priorities transfer directly. Columns for action, rationale, lead, resources needed, target date, success criteria, and RAG status. Includes a termly review panel and separate notes sections for senior leadership and governors.

Governor Report Template
Ten structured sections covering curriculum quality, teaching, pupil outcomes, resources, wider provision, and priorities for the coming period. Grey italic prompts guide what to write without appearing in the finished document. Includes a suggested questions panel for governors.
