This is a lesson which I ran with my Year 10s. Students have to use their knowledge of radiation to solve clues and discover who the murderer is.

I set up five stations in the room and they moved around every six minutes. One of these stations was outside the room - they had to decontaminate the crime scene and were graded by one of the lab techs. They complete a section of the worksheet for each station. I also printed some additional questions on the back which students completed if they finished an activity early.

I can’t take credit for the starter or the decontamination activity as I downloaded this from the TES, but thought it was a great idea so have incorporated into the lesson.
