Read all about it: What’s the News from the River?

Using these resources by Gloucestershire Archives, children will learn about an aspect of local history through studying how the River Severn and its people were affected by two events, one in the recent past and the other which occurred considerably earlier. Children will focus on how events are interpreted, both at the time and subsequently. They will use a range of historical sources to ask and answer questions and place their own interpretation on their findings.
