I wanted to make individual reading times more productive so I paired all the children up with a reading partner. Children are paired by ability: lows with highs. They read to each other and use the reading cards to support. The question cards are simple question starters taken from the reading AF's with answer cards to be used as speaking frames to support verbal answers. I&'ve also created book review sheets for individual reflection and &';book talk' sessions where we can share our favourite reads.
