#### SSAT/ISEE Type Practice Questions 6

A variety of questions for age groups and levels (from Grade 8/Year 9 - Grade 10/Year 11)
Starting from question 50 and onwards, the questions are slightly harder than SSAT/ISEE Type Practice Questions 4/5. However it should not be immensely difficult as it is aimed to reinforce topics already learned in class rather than difficult problem solving. Some questions will not have multiple answer choices, and students are advised to write down working to solve the problem. This paper should be completed without a calculator to improve mental calculation. There are 100 questions in this paper.
All questions were crafted and created by me, using the program LaTex.
The time limit is 2 hours, but feel free to change/extend the time, since it is unlikely a student will complete all questions in this time frame. It may be helpful to split this paper into two parts so the student does not burn out from overworking. Working should be shown, however this paper has more to do with time management, and if students get the questions correct, that should be sufficient.
Learning objectives:
Students will revise and complete questions from a variety of topics:
Problems involving Algebra such as solving equations and simplifying, Arithmetic involving negative numbers, statistics and probability involving mean calculation, and general arithmetic.
Work quickly and efficiently under a time limit, which is the main focus of this type of exam. Try to spot any hints/shortcuts if you are given a choice of answers. Save time by ignoring the ones you can't do.
Applicable academic standards:
This is in the style of SSAT/ISEE type of exam, however it can be used for any type of exam when revision of standard topics is needed.
List of Files:
Pdf file of Questions
If there are any errors in the paper (which there probably will be) let me know and I will fix and reupload asap. I may upload an answer sheet if there is enough request for it, as the questions are not that difficult, I don't think it will be much of a problem for teachers to mark it.
Kind regards,
