This is a good one to engage the pupils by relating it to something they know a lot about…all that time watching episode after episode can finally be described as educational! I have used this at KS3 to teach Variation & Classification as well as KS4 for lower ability. Includes a reference sheet to show the family tree and a question sheet to answer in class or as a homework activity.
Students use the clues to write expressions for the ages of members of the Simpsons family. I have always found that this activity goes down well. It can be extended in various ways. For example, getting students to substitute different values for x.
A handout accompanying the Simpsons PPT. Students have to fill in the gaps in the sentences describing the family relationships. Can be adapted for use with any character's point of view (this is done from Maggie's!). Vocab prompts at the bottom if needed.
Handbooks for the OCR AS and A2 health and social care courses. These are updated to take into account the new courses this year. The A2 units are unfortunatley only anatomy and physiology and child develepment.
