I separated the children into groups of 4/5 and gave them the 6 covers/advertisements to look at and discuss. Around the classroom, I also placed the activity papers and asked the children to write their ideas onto a pot-it note before placing them on the correct piece of paper. The children really enjoyed comparing the covers, looking for common themes and also inferring that is it a book, play and film.

A useful starting point for teaching a new book - definitely to get pupils engaged with the book’s ambiguous eponymous hero.
