Children first write speech in speech bubbles about Perfect Peter and Horrid Henry arguing over chores. Then they convert the speech bubbles to direct speech. The second sheet is better for lower ability children for the speech marks park where they first put speech marks in the correct place in the sentences, before writing their own. A plenary (or starter) is provided where children explain which example of speech marks is correct.
