Use these tarsia puzzles as a fun way to build vocabulary.
Students line up the sides of the triangles to match synonym pairs and synonym and antonym pairs. The puzzles should form a perfect triangle in the end!

Either students can cut the puzzles out on the lines to begin or they can be precut and laminated.
Students can be given the recording table which gives one half of the pair. This can be used as evidence if needed.

Students could play individually or in groups or with pairs for added engagement and collaboration! Optionally, time students to see how fast they can complete the puzzles.
When assembled correctly the letters at the centre will spell out the name of a specific arachnid.
