A programme for use in the classroom with students. Misunderstandings and arguments in childhood can cover a vast emotional spectrum, but seemingly trivial conflicts will often alter the emotional well-being of a child for an entire school day or longer. This programme explores various ways that young people can help each other towards resolving conflicts. From a buddy scheme, where Emma and Kirsty share a similar painful past experience, to street-wise London teenagers who are part of a growing network of Peer Mediators. Peer Mediation is increasingly recognised as one of the most effective conflict resolution strategies available to young people.

This programme visits Ridgeway School in Devon to explore the various strategies that young people can use to help each other resolve such conflicts.

Elsewhere, in south London, teenagers Isla and Annamarie work with LEAP Confronting Conflict - specialists in the field of conflict resolution and mediation.
