To prepare pupils for the WJEC Reading Controlled Assessment we have studied persuasive writing. The class read the attached article containing arguments for extending the school day and then watched a youtube video with arguments against. The scaffolded letter frame was intended to support a C/D borderline group as they begin writing their own persuasive piece.
