Aimed towards KS3 (Yrs 11-14), a fun animated lesson explaining the Seasons. Slide by slide animations shows clearly why the Earth experiences Summer and Winter.
By the end of the lesson learners should be able to:
Identify what causes summer and winter.
Describe how the Sun radiates light.
Explain the link between the tilting of the Earth and the seasons.

It isn't correct to say that there is less light hitting because it is further away this is a misconception. the light is more spread out when it hits at an angle.

That statement is correct - as the Sun releases rays of light they decreases in intensity according to the inverse square law. I.e. taking a step back from a heat source will make you feel colder as the heat rays spread out in every direction. I do however get your point and will update the phrasing on the powerpoint to reflect the areas being in direct sunlight, instead of being further / closer - apologies on my behalf for this. This is the explanation given officially - https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/seasons/en/

Please be mindful with reviews in future. A 1 star rating for a free product purely because of one statement is an unfair judgement. I take pride in producing good quality lessons for a fair price and reading this review at the end of a hectic week of teaching was a slap in the face.
