Tools Language Card Sort Activity for ESL Students

My early ESL students were learning about tools as part of their focus on technological changes. I created these sorting cards to get students to discuss the difference between statements beginning with "It is, It has and It can " when describing 3 tools - an axe, a screwdriver and a measuring tape prior to writing a short informative text. The first printout contains two sets of the cards. Print them on coloured paper and laminate for constant use. The second printout has the cards in a larger format to facilitate whole class feedback.
