Two activities requiring the children to decide whether the circuits will work or not. They are slightly differentiated with the HA resource encompassing more complex components (motors and buzzers). I had the children to write whether each circuit would work into their Science books and they also had to provide reasoning to support their ideas.
As an extension activity, I had the children to then list the amount of components used in each circuit.
