After reading Ruby’s Worry, children are each given a Worry Card to draw or talk about something that might make them feel worried. The adult models how to use the card by sharing a simple worry and suggesting a solution (e.g., “I feel worried when I lose something. I can ask for help”).
Children are encouraged to express their feelings through drawing or with adult support. Together, the group discusses simple ways to help worries feel smaller like talking to someone, taking deep breaths, or cuddling a soft toy. This helps children understand that worries are normal, and sharing them can make them easier to manage, just like Ruby learned in the story.
