Year 6 Alma - writing a descriptive opening for a first person recount

This lesson, we were looking at different openings whilst rating them on the Chilli Pepperometer (they loved this!) I included some slow writing slides to help them build up a descriptive opening as I know starting off can often be tricky. We used Alma from the Literacy Shed to begin writing a first person recount.
