I cannot take full credit for this - saw another teacher using it and it is a FANTASTIC way of revising all SPAG features children need to know by end of year.
1. Play a video of your choice - John Lewis Christmas Advert 2016 is a good one or first 3mins of SING trailer #2
2. Children use cards (1 pack between 2) to make sentences using grammar feature described (write in the margin the feature e.g. past progressive). You need to model the following:
Challenge 1 - Make a similar sentence using the example given
Challenge 2 - Think of your own example using ideas from the video
Challenge 3 - Write a paragraph about the video
3. Feedback at different intervals with children reading out their sentences and others guessing what the grammar feature was that they used.
