This is half termly unit for a booster class (one additional English lesson a week) is title 'Time Machine Unit'. Pretty self explanatory: you create a time machine, but it malfunctions on its first journey & ends up in WW1.
It looks at different writing styles: writing to explain (newspaper); writing to describe (description of trench); letter writing. There is also some analysis of 'Dulce...'.

Termly overview provides direction and the initial lesson plan sets up the task well. Writing frame is useful for students. A good resource that needs a little bit of adaptation and filling out but well worth using.
