About Cedar Children's Academy
At Cedar, we have a set of attributes that we want all children to have mastered as they move through the school with us. They are for the pupils to be:
Considerate (kind, respectful of others, thoughtful, empathetic and tolerant)
Enthusiastic (motivated, excited to learn, willing to try, positive and curious)
Determined (know they can do it, be a problem solver, be resourceful and show ambition)
Assured (happy to be in school, confident, brave, not over reliant on adults and willing to take risks)
Resilient (not willing to give up, wanting to have another go, overcoming barrier and setbacks)

Governors in the academy advisory board and the regional governing body support and challenge senior leaders well. They have clear understanding of the school plan for improvement and share the school leaders’ passion to secure the best education possible for the pupils in the school.
- OfstedStaff value the training and support they receive. Leaders recognise talent in staff and deploy them across the school to coach and support colleagues.
- OfstedSenior leaders have a good understanding of what the school needs to do to improve. They have a clear plan for improvement that is focused on well-considered priorities. Through regular monitoring, they make sure that plans are followed through and improvements are embedded over time.
