Values and vision
Chesterton Community College highly values its non-selective ethos, going to great lengths to ensure that students are given proper provision and care regardless of background or ability. The school is known for its English-language provision for students who have learning difficulties or who are learning English as an additional language.
Teachers strives to involve students' families, so that parents have a positive and accurate idea of the path taken by their child. Tolerance and respect for other faiths and traditions are heavily impressed upon students.
“Most students, including the few from minority heritage groups, are achieving well and making good progress. The proportions of students making expected and better progress in English and mathematics is improving, and above average. In the summer 2013 national examinations attainment was above average in both English and mathematics.”
