About Dulwich College (Singapore)
Dulwich College (Singapore) caters for a diverse range of international students reflective of Singapore’s cosmopolitan nature as one of Asia’s most vibrant centres. The College opened its doors in August 2014 with 880 students, and will eventually have the capacity for 2,500 students who will enjoy facilities and resources to rival any school in the world.
The College draws upon 400 years of experience and innovation in education from our founding school in London, Dulwich College. Dulwich College provides expertise, resources and a rigorous set of academic standards to which all the Dulwich International Schools adhere. Our close ties with our family of schools in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Seoul, Zhuhai and Yangon provide us with further access to resources and experience in Asia as well as further opportunities for professional development and movement between the Colleges.
The curriculum in our Early Years (or DUCKS as it is known) and Junior School follows the English National Curriculum (ENC), enhanced and adapted to meet local requirements. Senior School starts in Year 6. From Year 6 onwards, students experience specialist teaching with a curriculum that combines the best of ENC and Common Entrance to provide a stimulating and challenging learning experience. The IGCSE programme is taught from Years 9 to 11, while Years 12 and 13 will follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
Singapore is one of the most exciting and desirable places to live in the world. It offers an excellent standard of living, and is a very convenient hub for travel and exploring other countries in this dynamic and vibrant region.
The College aims to inspire its students, and enhance their education and cultural understanding. We want to prepare them for the opportunities available in a highly connected world. This global outlook is expressed in our motto ‘Detur Pons Mundo’, which translates to ‘Building bridges to the world’ and helps shape happy and confident boys and girls.
