Values and vision

Guernsey Grammar School wants all students to achieve their full potential in a welcoming, caring and stimulating learning environment. Students are taught from a broad and balanced curriculum, with dedicated teachers helping them discover their unique skills and talents. Small class sizes ensure that pupils and staff benefit from close relationships. The school promotes the qualities of loyalty, pride, spirit, belonging and caring and is committed to nurturing students as individuals who have the confidence to be themselves. It is also vital to the school that students are prepared for the responsibilities of adulthood, and are encouraged to make positive contributions to the community as committed and valued members of the local, wider and global society. The school wants all children to appreciate cultural diversity and value everyone as equals, regardless of their differences. Guernsey Grammar School offers a wide range of clubs and extra-curricular activities for students to get involved in outside of the classroom and gain additional experiences, while at the same time enhancing their CV for the next stage of their education. These include the Duke of Edinburgh Award, community projects, school trips and drama, sports, art and music clubs.
