International School Brunei
About International School Brunei
International School Brunei (ISB) is a mixed, independent, all-through school for students aged between 2 and 18. It is an international school and was the first of its kind to open in Brunei. ISB teaches an adapted version of the national curriculum for England and offers the Cambridge IGCSE and International Baccalaureate Diploma qualifications.
Starting out as a small tutorial group in 1964, the school has grown and developed through the years and has been at its current location of Berakas in North Brunei since 1985. ISB continues to develop and currently has more than 1,100 pupils on its roll.

Values and vision
ISB has a vision “to be the foremost inclusive community international school in South East Asia”. The school recognises that each student is unique and encourages different ways of learning in each one in order to unlock their full potential. Diversity and community are major factors in the ethos of the school, and respect is nurtured in pupils towards themselves, others and their surrounding environment.
The school aims to create a learning community with the student at the heart of all it does. Achievement is celebrated both on an individual and collective scale and every effort is made to cultivate independent thinking and international-minded students in an environment that is positive, safe and fair.
The school also offers a stable and well-renowned working atmosphere for staff as well as students with a keen, forward thinking and friendly team of professional educators.
