Lord Derby Academy

Lord Derby Academy is part of the Multi-Academy Dean Trust. At Lord Derby Academy we embrace The Dean Trust motto ‘Believe Achieve Succeed’.  Lord Derby Academy was graded as Good in all areas by Ofsted in June 2023. 

The school has been oversubscribed for six years. At Lord Derby Academy we uphold the highest of standards. Our ethos is built on support and ambition for the whole school community. We are fully inclusive in our outlook and we are unwavering in our belief in every pupil. 

Lord Derby Academy holds an exceptionally strong staff retention rate. Staff are able to benefit from bespoke Continuous Professional Development opportunities and can become a part of our staff ‘well-being group’. 

We offer pupils a broad, balanced and aspirational curriculum and a flourishing programme of enrichment which includes The Duke of Edinburgh Award. 

The recent Ofsted report for Lord Derby Academy states ‘Staff are immensely proud to work at this school’ and a previous Ofsted report notes ‘The support of the local community, parents and carers has never been higher. The reputation that this is a school that insists on the highest standards of behaviour is deserved’.
