About Penbridge Junior School

Executive Head: Anna Webb

Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School, we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Primary School. The juniors site comprises of a 4-form entry school with 440 children on the roll.

Our aim is to provide an education that meets the needs of all our children, and we expect high standards of behaviour and a positive attitude to learning. Staff must share this same passion and be role models for our pupils with their diligence and commitment. In turn, our staff are supported with a framework that aims to bring the best out of them, within an environment that encourages reflection and improvement.

At Penbridge Schools, we are a proud member of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust. This enables us to create a unique offer for children: an "all-through" educational journey in which they remain with the same family of schools throughout their education. We are committed to the ethos of excellence and a whole school approach to the teaching of thinking skills.

Penbridge is one of five primary schools and one secondary school in Portsmouth to benefit from Thinking Schools' award-winning resources, curriculum, and collaboration opportunities.

Ethos & Values

At Penbridge Primary School we are a united as a single community- children, parents and carers, staff governors- under six core values which reflect a passionate commitment to learning and recognition of the uniqueness of individual learners.
