Values and vision
Spen Valley High School is a local comprehensive school, with a genuinely inclusive ethos. As part of the Spenborough Cooperative trust it has a strong relationship with other local schools and good community links.
We believe strongly in ethical leadership and whatever their barrier to learning we aim to support our students so they can remain in school, engaged in their learning and achieving well. We strive to ensure all our students can access a curriculum that is appropriate to their needs so that when they leave us they can stand shoulder to shoulder with any young person form any background.
Spen Valley is a successful school, having been judged GOOD by Ofsted in January 2017. However, we are not complacent and all stakeholders are committed to working together to ensure that we continue to provide our students with a full educational experience.
