Directions:
Print onto card, laminate and cut out.
These cards can be used as a simple alphabetical ordering activity or use them to play games.
How to play:
The aim is to collect the most complete sets. The cards are colour coded into sets. Shuffle the cards and deal 8 cards to each player, and place the rest of the cards face down in pile on the table.
Each player sorts their cards onto the table into sets, arranging in alphabetical order for each set as far as possible.
Taking it in turns, each player either collects a card from the overturned pile of cards, or requests a card from their opponent to try and collect a set of four alphabetically ordered cards. Once a set of four cards has been won, this set is now out of the game and cannot be taken by an opponent.
Play continues until all the sets have been collected. The winner is the player who has collected the most sets.
