Two sides of A3 featuring summaries of each Act of An Inspector Calls. Students read text, and annotate:
- Links and patterns in plot
- Thematic ties
- Authorial message / intent
- How this reflects the social / historical context
- Audience response (modern and contemporary)
Students could be given any one of these strands to annotate as a way of directing revision and swiflty recapping knowledge of plot. Could be used as a group rotation activity or as a revision activity. At the end, all the ‘white space’ should be mostly filled with thoughts, links, ideas etc.
Designed for GCSE Edexcel AIC plot recall, writer’s message and historical/social context (but could also work with AQA too!)
