BBC Teach True Stories video question sheets, differentiated

From Florence Nightingale to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, these short video dramatisations introduce the stories of ten children who grew up and changed the world: Mary Anning, AG Bell, Thos. Barnardo, IK Brunel, Grace Darling, Eliz. Fry, Ed. Jenner, Flo. Nightingale, Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman.

These films are taken from the BBC series, True Stories and are suitable for teaching KS2 pupils and older in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and Second Level and older in Scotland.

Each video lastsc. 12 minutes; each sheet has c. 20 qustions. All differentiated! Both versions look very similar, but “B” version has subtle clues. Questions right up to the end, no slack time! Answer sheet. Very easy to mark. .doc & .pdf for all files.

The films are available on You-Tube, but the BBC Teach site has perfect subtitles and extensive teacher notes, and ideas for further investigation.
