6-lesson unit to help pupils understand, reflect, and improve their behaviour through self-awareness, emotional regulation, and positive habit-building. The lessons are engaging, discussion-based, and practical, making them ideal for PSHE, behaviour interventions, SEND support, or whole-class teaching.

Each lesson builds progressively, supporting pupils emotions helping. them to understand triggers, and develop strategies to manage behaviour in a calm, respectful way. The sequence promotes emotional literacy, self-control, and responsibility- key skills for learning and social success.

** Lesson 1: Understanding Behaviour **
Pupils explore how behaviour can be positive or negative, how actions affect others, and why self-awareness is key to making better choices.

Lesson 2: Triggers and Responses
Children learn to identify emotional and behavioural triggers and practise choosing calm, thoughtful responses instead of reacting impulsively.

Lesson 3: Managing Impulsive Actions
Introduces impulsivity and practical strategies such as Stop and Think, breathing, counting, and pausing before acting.

Lesson 4: Responding to Anger
Supports pupils to understand anger as a normal emotion, distinguish it from aggression, and use safe, respectful ways to express feelings.

Lesson 5: Staying Engaged and Focused
Explores disengagement, boredom, and attention difficulties, with tools such as checklists, timers, and clear goals to improve focus.

Lesson 6: Building Positive Habits
Encourages pupils to develop positive routines, take responsibility for behaviour, and recognise their role in creating a respectful classroom.
