A resource for teaching binary to denary, denary to binary and and adding 8 bit binary numbers. Includes a self marking Excel workbook with a sheet on each topic. A word document containing the instructions for students on how to use the workbook and a sheet (loading sheet) to use for board demo's or printing out for those students who need to see this on paper. The resource is based around delivering boxes of drinks for the PPF company. It (deliberately) does not mention binary or denary. I would introduce the resource, use it, the explain what it was afterwards. I have used this with Y5 -11 in local primary schools and with my Y8 and GCSE students.
The spreadsheet can be unlocked (password is password) and the problems changed if desired.
Please review the resource an let me know of any issues.
