With a natural background to each enhancement, and photo examples of real life locations children can replicate with blocks, these 10 examples show how children can move forward in their play.

The start of the document highlights the seven stages of block play, from typical toddler play of transporting, to a typical three year old making towers or roads, through to a typical 5 year old where they are representing places with real intent.

Each enhancement has been done over two A4 pages. The first one has an example of how they can achieve the desired effect using blocks, and the second highlights which section of the seven stages they would achieve if they did this.
