These are a selection of resources which I’ve used with my current/ ex students to help them prepare for Question 1: Suitability of observations and experiments. This forms part of the external assessment for Unit 4: Enquiries into Current Research in Health and Social Care in the BTEC L3 Health and Social Care qualification.

There are 3 PowerPoint presentations, which includes starter/ plenary activities, content on the types of observations and experiments that are used in research to help with their Q1 answers.

The 2 handouts contain student-friendly information about the key ways these methods are used, as well as the main advantages and disadvantages.
