The FIFTH UNIT in the series (AO4 EVALUATE) covers the final GCSE READING SKILL using engaging extracts from Roald Dahl's 'Boy', illustrations associated with Roald Dahl's writing and engaging videos (included in the power point) to fully introduce, explore and assess this crucial GCSE skill and assessment objective with pupils. This unit is designed for pupils in years 7 or 8 but could also be used as an introductory GSCE foundation unit for Year 9 & 10 groups depending on ability.

This new series replaces the traditional KS3 assessment criteria (APP or AF's) with NEW GCSE Assessment Objectives (AOs) However, that does not mean that the creativity and imagination need to be a thing of the past! In this new series of units, Key Stage Three pupils are introduced to NEW GCSE English Language Skills in creative and imaginative ways to build foundations and continuity for pupils as they progress through the key stages.

The unit is built around the official AQA Key Stage Three PILOT ASSESSMENT Material, copies of which are included in the download.
