Chinese New Year Comprehension and Writing Task KS3 Non Fiction

This resource gives students an overview of the traditions and legends of the Chinese New Year Celebration. Reading tasks are broken down to make comprehension of this non-fiction text accessible. The first part poses comprehension and language activities to ensure the text is carefully read. There are fun activities such as working out what animal you are, then working out if the attributes associated with that animal fit your character.

The second part gives a range of writing activities to include description, diary writing and there is also the option to create a fact file.
