A 24-page mini-course is designed to identify and eliminate the common mistakes made by Russian speakers in English.

The mini-course contains an entry quiz, grammar reference, practical exercises, the final quiz, and the answer key for self-check.

After studying some grammar references, the students work on gap-fill exercises, error correction, word reordering, making sentences using prompts, or writing their examples. The exercises also aimed at expanding the students’ knowledge on the topic of traveling, superstitions, giving advice, agreeing/disagreeing, and many others.

The exercises are mostly designed for one-on-one classes, however can be adapted for group classwork.

**The covered grammar topics are: **

  1. The first conditional
  2. Embedded (indirect) questions
    • ED, - ING adjectives
  3. Use of the verb BE and the verbs agree, depend, mean, seem, etc.
  4. Non-reflexive verbs (feel, relax, concentrate, meet, etc)

The exercises are suitable for all adult ESL learners (B1-B2) and higher levels because they cover the most problematic grammar topics.

The mini-course is in PDF format with a horizontal layout for the most convenient presentation.
