Data Handling Sumo wrestlers

This uses info about Sumo wrestlers from the internet and goes through mean, median, range. The details of the wrestlers are a not very well structured, which lets the students use reasoning to work out which measurements are heights, weights etc. Then gives details of the largest Sumo, with pictures. Talk about what happens when he joins the squad. The mean goes up etc. There is a picture of a trim athlete. Again discussion about ranges medians etc. Finishes with a caption competition which one colleague refused to use, but if you are OK about laughing with your students, you could try it!
